Tomorrow's Heirloom Jewelry by Kristin Miller

The first time I saw Kristin Miller’s work was on my way to get tacos at a street fair, and she’s been my favorite jeweler since that moment.

Her pieces are the kind that pull me into my future by a few decades, and ask me to consider what I will do with my belongings when I am on my way out. I’ve got my fair share of pieces I don’t mind someone finding in a thrift store, but the jewelry I have from Kristen Miller make me want to take the best possible care of my rings, earrings and necklaces so that either my daughter or a cool neighbor kid I’ve taken under my wing can someday wear them to all their special occasions.

Another thing I love about Kristin Miller’s work is that she has such a distinct point of view that runs through the collections, that her pieces work incredibly well together even with years passing between purchases- they’re all just begging to be collected.

Here are a couple pieces from last year’s summer’s end One of a Kind collection that I still find myself thinking about on occasion.

The last time I checked, her pieces were available at Stanley Korshak, Nicole Kwan and the Kufri Life showroom, check the site for updates. And maybe get yourself (or me) something shiny while you’re at it.
